In 1883 Bairei published a five-volume, woodblock-printed picture book entitled Kōgyo Zushiki (i.e., Sketches for Artisans). It included small pictures of a wide range of objects, including flowers and birds. These pictures were intended to give artisans ideas for decorating their consumer goods. This gallery shows book pages with one or more pictures of flowers and (or) birds in volumes 1 and 2. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
